As a fully integrated pharmaceutical company Bayer's Dermatology unit has access to its own manufacturing capabilities, which are being operated in close partnership with Bayer HealthCare Product Supply.
Our largest production site is based in Milan, Italy and employs about 300 people in the pharmaceutical manufacturing of semi-solids (ointments, creams, gels) in about 60 formulations filled in tubes, bottles and jars, oral liquids and parenteral lyophilisates.
Technical highlights include fully automated bulk manufacturing in several production units and a maximum batch size of up to 1,000kg. Tube materials used include aluminum, plastic and laminate in sizes from 5g to 250g.
